The physicians of Amarillo Pathology Group have been serving the hospitals and patients of Amarillo and our surrounding region since 1983. Over the past 40 years, APG has grown to include 7 pathologists, a histology department and cytology department and has emerged as a top laboratory in the Texas Panhandle by serving hundreds of physicians, hospitals and surgery centers.

Founded in 1994, PPL has progressively grown and continues to serve the physician offices, nursing homes, and hospitals across the Texas Panhandle.  PPL was acquired in 2011 by the owners of APG to create one local resource for all clinical and anatomic pathology needs. In bringing PPL into the APG family, we maximize the strengths of both organizations to design a locally-owned comprehensive anatomic and clinical laboratory solution for the healthcare providers and residents of the Texas Panhandle.

Our pathologists provide experienced Medical Directorship services in Clinical Pathology to our clients and to Physicians Preferred Laboratory. Under the guidance of our owners at APG, Physicians Preferred Laboratory is thriving in the clinical laboratory medicine field.
